An Active, Ontology-driven Network Service for Internet Collaboration
نویسندگان
چکیده
Web portals have emerged as an important means of collaboration on the WWW, and the integration of ontologies promises to make them more accurate in how they serve users collaboration and information location requirements. However, web portals are essentially a centralised architecture resulting in difficulties supporting seamless roaming between portals and collaboration between groups supported on different portals. This paper proposes an alternative approach to collaboration over the web using ontologies that is de-centralised and exploits content-based networking. We argue that this approach promises a user-centric, timely, secure and locationindependent mechanism, which is potentially more scaleable and universal than existing centralised portals.

IoT-Based User-Driven Service Modeling Environment for a Smart Space Management System
The existing Internet environment has been extended to the Internet of Things (IoT) as an emerging new paradigm. The IoT connects various physical entities. These entities have communication capability and deploy the observed information to various service areas such as building management, energy-saving systems, surveillance services, and smart homes. These services are designed and developed ...
متن کاملThe Use of Data Envelopment Analysis in the Design of Internet Networks to Ensure the Quality of Service
Choosing a superior Internet network by users or providing a desirable Internet network by ISPs is always one of the important decision issues in this area. Choosing a unique optimal network from among the best networks is still a big challenge. The purpose of this paper is to use the data envelopment analysis (DEA) decision-making technique to evaluate the existing Internet networks in order t...
متن کاملOntologies for Provision of HIV/Aids Information Using Telephony Infrastructure
Over the years, the number of new telephony services has increased drastically. This increase can, in part, be attributed to the public switched telephone network (PSTN) converging with computer networks into a single network, based on the Internet Protocol (IP), as well as the advent of mobile telephony. Although innovative, many of these services are database driven and consequently lack intr...
متن کاملEvent Handling Mechanism based on Active Rule for Internet of Things
This paper presents an approach, called IECA, for modeling and implementing the architecture of Internet of Things(IoT) applications using an active rule-based model. Considering the effective collaboration and the quick response which are necessary for IoT information sharing and service provisioning, a common and extensible IECA execution environment is constructed to integrate the advantages...
متن کاملAdvanced operations research techniques for multi-constraint QoS routing in internet
Internet Traffic has grown exponentially over last few years due to provision of multiple class services through Internet backbone. With the explosive use of Internet, contemporary Internet routers are susceptible to overloads and their services deteriorate drastically and often cause denial of services. In this paper, an analysis is made how forecasting technique, routing algorithm and Genetic...
